How To Use Vinegar On Tomato Plants

Many of us have heard about the benefits of using vinegar in our gardens. But, do you know how effective it works in your garden? Is it okay to use it on tomato plants? Does it harm tomato roots when used often? Let’s see the uses of vinegar on tomato plants as well as in the garden in this article.

Effective Uses of Vinegar For Your Plants:

Vinegar is effective in killing weeds in your garden. Weeds are one of the most common issue face by any gardener. To kill them or prevent them, all you need to do is spray pure white vinegar on them.

This wonderful product also helps us to get rid of garden insects easily. All you need to do is mix one part of vinegar with three parts of water and pour it into a spray bottle. Then, add a teaspoon of dishwashing agent to the mixture. Now, shake the spray bottle before you use it in the garden for killing garden insects.

Vinegar is also used to increase the PH level of the soil to encourage the healthy growth of certain acid-loving plants. Mix one cup of white vinegar to one gallon of water and use this solution on acid-loving plants.

You can also protect the plants suffering from fungus using a vinegar solution. The vinegar fungicide recipe is completely easy, add 2 tablespoons of vinegar in chamomile tea and spray it on the affected areas of the plant. Additionally, it is safe and organic too.

How To Use Vinegar On Tomato Plants?

Using vinegar on tomato plants helps in encouraging healthy fruits of the plant. Let’s see how to use this product on your plant.

Just combine 1 cup of ammonia with 2 cups of white distilled vinegar, then add 5 gallons of water to it. Mix them well and pour it in a watering can sprinkle over your tomato plants and the surrounding soil of the plant. Using this mixture on your plants once in every two weeks in the spring season encourages fruiting.

Not all plants benefit from using vinegar, the acetic acid in vinegar might cause harm to some of the plants. So be careful when used on those pesky hard to kill weeds that disappear in two or three days.

Vinegar is not only safe and organic solution. but, it is cheap and useful for many things.
