5 ways to kill Aphids on tomato plants

 Keeping the pests away from your plant is a very difficult job. A large number of times,  it becomes very difficult to protect your plants from these pests. Similarly,  protecting your tomatoes by aphids is also a very difficult job. 

We all want a way that will kill aphids on tomato plants and it will protect our tomatoes. A large number of ways are there. Aphids are one of the most spread pests in the Gardens. If these pests just come into your garden then they will spread at a much faster rate. 

There are different ways to kill aphids on tomato plants.

  • Using Natural Predators

 you can use home remedies for the removal of aphids from your tomato plants.  Home remedies are the best one for the plants as they are 100% natural. You can get natural predators in your garden for the removal of aphids from your tomato plants. 

You can add ladybugs, lady beetles and various other types of natural predators to kill aphids on tomato plants.

 These predators like ladybirds, lady beetles and a lot more eat the garden pests, and thus your plant will be saved. 

  • Insecticide Spray

You can create insecticide soap for the removal of aphids from your tomato plants.

 Making insecticide soap is very easy. You should take one gallon of water along with that you should take two and a half teaspoons of vegetable oil and two and a half spoonfuls of the soap and mix all these ingredients in a spray bottle.

Use this spray to remove the effects from your tomato plants.  This will kill aphids on tomato plants. You should use this spray very much properly on the plants. 

You should always check your plants after spraying the insecticide as it can have some opposite outcomes also.  The insecticide spray will remove only soft pests.

  • Using Natural Repellent

Using natural repellent is also a great option to kill aphids on tomato plants.  A large number of plants are there like chives, marigolds, etc which are not liked by aphids at all.  They have a smell that bests can’t control. So, using these natural repellents is also a very good option. There are a large number of plants like mustard and many more, these plants attract the aphids and his due to which vegetables are saved.

  • Using tomato plant parts for getting rid of Aphids.

You can use tomato leaves and as tomato leaves are having alkaloids which is hazardous for small pests. So, you can just take the tomato leaves, chop them and then put it in water. 

Then you can use it as a pesticide. Take one  quarter of water and two leaves of tomato and put them in two cups of water and then take the water and put it in a spray bottle. Use this for the removal of aphids.

You can also use diatomaceous Earth around the plant soil after using the spray mixture. This helps in removal of other pests also.

  • You can use Neem water to get rid of the aphids. 

Neem also plays a very important role in the removal of pests. You should take one tablespoon of neem oil along with two cups of water, mix it  properly and then place it in a spray bottle.  You can use this spray  for the removal of aphids.

One of the most popular ways of killing aphids is by using neem spray.

 Horticulture oil is also used to get rid of aphids from the tomatoes.  Horticulture oil is also very famous. It basically forms a layer around the bug due to which the bug  suffocates and dies.

 Getting rid of the aphids is not difficult at all. You can easily follow different ways to get rid of the aphids. Natural ways should be preferred more as they will not harm your plants.  You should always check your plants while using various ways to kill aphids from your tomatoes.  

This is because it can be possible that the specific way can have any opposite effect, so looking after your plants while using these methods is recommended.
