Lavender Essential Oil:
Lavender essential oil works perfect to repel pests and acts as wonderful attractant for pollinators like butterflies and bees. All you need to do is dip a cotton ball in few drops of essential oil and place it near the pot.

Peppermint Essential Oil:
the Peppermint essential oil has strong and sweet fragrance that helps in repelling all garden pests like beetles, aphids, spiders and flies. This essential oil is also ideal for preventing mice, squirrels and moles from your plants. Dip a cotton ball in few drops of peppermint essential oil and place it on the affected areas of your plant.

Cinnamon Essential Oil:
Cinnamon also has strong fragrance that helps in getting rid of weeds and pests like ants, beetles and gnats. It also helps in preventing fungus. Prepare a solution by mixing 10-15 drops of cinnamon essential oil with water and use it on the affected areas of your plant.

Basil Essential Oil:
Basil essential oil works perfect to prevent insects away from plants like peppers, tomatoes, broccoli and potatoes.

Oregano Essential Oil:
Oregano essential oil is strong oil that helps to prevent fungus and deter all flying pests like green fly, mosquitoes and carrot fly.

Clove Essential Oil:
Clove essential oil can be used to killing weeds, repel insects on plants and soil and prevents fungus, mold and mildew from plants. You can use this oil as a spray by mixing it with little amount of water or just place a cotton ball dipped in this oil near your plant.

Tea Tree Essential Oil:
Tea tree essential oil is considered as one of the best essential oils to prevent fungus. You can use it as a spray by diluting it with water to prevent fungal diseases like blights that damage potatoes and tomatoes in garden.

Orange Essential Oil:
Orange is another excellent option to attract pollinators in your garden. You can even mix it with rosemary or lavender essential oil to prepare a solution and use it as a spray on your plants.

Melaleuca Essential Oil:
If your garden is suffering from fungus, then this oil works perfect. Mix one part of this essential oil with four parts of water to prepare the solution and mist the plant and soil. This solution makes plant more sensitive, so avoid it using on leaves and stems of the plant.

Rosemary Essential Oil:
Rosemary essential oil is considered as a great option for preventing pests in your garden. It can also be used as an essential tea for cabbage, cauliflower and broccoli. Just spray few drops of this oil in the pot to keep bugs away from chewing up the foliage.

How To Use Essential Oils For Gardening:

As Sprays:
Take 3-4 drops of any essential oil in a spray bottle and fill it with ¾ Th amount of water. That’s it your solution is ready. Never forget to shake the bottle before using it on your plants in your garden. For best results, spray this solution early in the morning or evening, the cool atmosphere helps in quick absorption.
Different Recipes:

Fungus Spray:
Take 1 gallon spray bottle and add one drop of oregano oil, five drops of tea tree essential oil, one Castile liquid soap, three table spoons of baking soda and fill the bottle with water. Shake the bottle and spray the solution on plants once in a week.

Insect Deterrent Spray:
Take a large spray bottle and add one drop of peppermint, rosemary and thyme essential oil. Fill it with half amount of water, shake the bottle well and use this solution on your plants early in the morning.

Cotton Balls:
You can even use cotton balls to prevent ground level pests and diseases for your plants. Soak cotton ball in any essential oil and place it near the burrows or rodent nests.

Strips Or Strings:
If you don’t want to use a spray on your plants, then strings or strips are good option to choose. Soak cotton strips in any essential oil of your choice and hang them from a tree branch and near plants. The smell of these essential oils will confuse insects and repel them completely.
